Powerex 9.6v 230mAh batteries?

I guess that was actually my (unasked) question. Does anyone think
that the Maha have any advantage over the iPower?

I've tried the 300mAh Maha 9volt with mixed results. I bought 3 last
year and initially they were quite reliable. After a few months
however, 2 of the batteries melted......i kid you not. The outer
casing shrivelled/wrinkled spewing out the contents of the battery (a
white powder substance....the Nickel Hydride i presume). These events
took place 3 months apart and lucky for me, they were just sitting on
my shelf at the time. The distributer did exchange them but; I'm too
scared to stick them in any kit.

which are ok. The build quality is a little dubious;(the negative
terminal bends far too easily); but i get about 2hours 30 minutes from
my Lectro's (UH400A) running phantom at 48Volts. Had them for 8 months
and no problems so far.
I also own i-power 500 and 520mAh batteries,and can get almost 6 hours
powering my Lectro LMa's. I don't use the i-powers in my UH400A as
they simply don't want to work (they shut down unexpectedly.......to
this day i still can't figure out why.....ho hum).

The switching power supply in the UH400a transmitter and the
protection circuitry in the iPower's don't always play well together.
Some transmitters will work with all iPower's and some iPowers will
work with all transmitters. But some of the batteries get fooled by
some of the transmitters.

UH400a's made after the middle of 2008 have a different power supply
IC with an added soft start circuit that doesn't trip the iPower
protection circuit.
